COMMUNITY 2 COMMUNITY
Community2Community is about our church family and community serving our communities in Pittsburgh’s North Hills and internationally. Here’s a list of what we, as followers of Jesus, are regularly committed to doing through service.
Days For Girls
Do you have a heart for society’s marginalized? NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, a ministry which seeks to break down stigmas and limitations by providing sustainable and effective feminine hygiene solutions to under-privileged girls and women worldwide. There are lots of ways to get involved. Click the button below to contact Lisa Porter. For more information visit DaysForGirls.org.
Veterans Outreach
This is our outreach arm through the Veterans Place of Pittsburgh. Veterans Place rehabilitates homeless veterans with housing and training to get them back on their feet. We are collecting donations of twin-size bedding (sheets and blankets), travel size toiletries, socks, and underwear. All donations must be new in its original packaging and can be left in the fireplace room in the lower back hallway. We are also looking volunteers to help cook breakfast during the week. Any questions, contact Christina Sturzinger or contact the office for more information.
Lifeline Christian Mission
NHCC has partnered with Lifeline Christian Mission for short term mission trips and packaging shelf stable, nutritious meals that are shipped to children and families who struggle with hunger and malnutrition around the world.
