Community2Community is about our church family and community serving our communities in Pittsburgh’s North Hills and internationally. Here’s a list of what we, as followers of Jesus, are regularly committed to doing through service.
Each week we feed close to 200 students in the North Hills School District who are at risk of going hungry over the weekend by packing bags full of nutritious meals and snacks to be placed in students’ backpacks for the next weekend. NHCC packs the 2nd Sunday of each Month immediately following worship. Outside group are invited to pack the 4th Monday of each month. To get on the schedule, contact Katie by clicking the Get Involved button below.
Each week we encourage members of our church to tutor at His Place Community Center in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill neighborhood. This service opportunity reaches outside of our bounds to help students get assistance with their homework and put them on track to earn the Pittsburgh Promise scholarship and more.
Operation Christmas Child’s mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
You can donate items each month at NHCC in our service closet.
