Days for Girls is turning periods into pathways.

INCREASE ACCESS TO MENSTRUAL SUPPLIES

Cost-effective, safe, sustainable and contextually relevant products help women and girls manage their periods and engage in livelihood activities.

SHATTER STIGMA THROUGH EDUCATION

Access to timely, factual information about puberty and menstruation can lead to increased body literacy, a healthy public perception of menstruation and decreased stigma and shame.

ELEVATE MENSTRUAL HEALTH

Menstrual health and hygiene are critical factors in improving education opportunities and livelihood outcomes for women, girls and people with periods worldwide.

NHCC actively partners with Days for Girls, an organization that seeks to increase access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating Social Enterprises, mobilizing volunteers and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigma and limitations for women and girls. COTTON fabric material.
- Girls (S - 8 to XL-16) and Women’s (S-XL) brief style underwear. NO bikini style.
- NO prints containing animals, eyes, words, food, or camo.
- If possible, fabric should NOT be solid white, but a color or pattern.
- Standard Sized Washcloths - dark colors, NOT white.
- Gift cards and coupons so that we can buy extra supplies (JoAnn’s, Walmart, Target, Michaels, etc.)
- Give online via Tithe.ly. Be sure to choose North Hills Christian Church and Days for Girls - PGH North for the fund.
- Physical donations can be dropped in the plastic bin inside the lower office door at NHCC.
- Monetary donations can be made via Tithe.ly, cash or check which can be dropped inside the offering box inside the lower office door at NHCC. Please mark all donations with “Days for Girls”.
